The short version: Noduly does not require an account. We collect almost nothing. The longer version follows.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Noduly handles information when you use our website and the educational web apps hosted on it (the "Service"). It applies to anyone who visits or uses the Service.
2. What we collect
We collect very little, by design.
- Information you choose to give us. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message. If you send feedback through the in-page feedback widget, we receive what you write in it.
- Browser-side preferences. Your theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your browser using
localStorageso it persists between visits. This data never leaves your device. - Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data with each request — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp. These logs are kept for routine operational purposes and security and are not used to build advertising or profile data.
- Analytics (only with your consent). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. It does not load and collects nothing unless you click Accept on the consent banner shown on your first visit. If you decline — or ignore the banner — the Google Analytics script is never fetched, no measurement cookie is set, and no analytics data is collected. Your choice is stored in your browser (
noduly.consent) so we only ask once. When enabled, Google processes usage events under its own privacy policy. We do not enable Google Analytics advertising features, ad personalization, or data sharing for advertising.
We do not run third-party advertising, fingerprinting, or social-media trackers on the Service. The only analytics provider is Google Analytics, and it is off by default until you opt in.
3. What we don't collect
- We don't require an account, so we do not have a username, password, or profile linked to you.
- We don't track your progress through modules across sessions or devices.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your information for advertising.
4. How we use information
- Email addresses submitted to the notify list are used solely to send infrequent updates about Noduly. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Server logs are used to operate and secure the Service.
- Browser preferences are used by your browser to render the Service the way you prefer.
5. Cookies and similar storage
Noduly sets no cookies of its own. We use the browser's localStorage API to remember your theme preference and your analytics-consent choice. If — and only if — you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own _ga cookies to measure usage. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for general audiences, including learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention
- Email addresses on the notify list are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs are kept for a limited period as required for operations and security.
- Theme preferences live in your own browser; clear them at any time via your browser settings.
8. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- request a copy of any information we hold about you;
- request that we delete your information;
- unsubscribe from any list you have joined.
To exercise these rights, email us at nodulydesk@gmail.com.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any information we hold. Because we collect very little, the surface area for harm is small by design.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page.
